Softwashing treats algae without blasting the surface. We have a simple three-step approach: exclude, wash and rinse.

Exclude: we work out what is keeping the algae alive and recommend what can be done about the water source feeding it. Sometimes it is simply a wall that is poor at shedding water.

Wash: we apply a non-aggressive biocide that leaves no lasting environmental footprint and is safe for our staff, for you and for domestic animals. It is sprayed or brushed on, the algae dies off quickly and the product then breaks down naturally.

Rinse: we normally rinse off any residue and let nature do the rest. Green algae usually disappears within two to three hours, red within fifteen minutes, and black can take longer and sometimes needs a second spot treatment.
